Currently our world is very saturated. You can find someone who does the same thing you do in every town, city, province, and country. So how do you not only get someone’s attention, but convince them to work/purchase from you instead of Fred down the road.
The key to this is having a strong social media presence that converts into sales, which means having a strong “front of house”. Now this is the term I use to describe your customer service (because it matters on social media more than you would ever think), having a someone to association with your brand, and making a personality felt through your posts.
Now, if you aren’t comfortable doing this yourself, it can all be done through hiring an agency or individual, but that means to be successful you need to give away full control. So, make sure it’s with someone you trust.
Since social media all takes place behind screens, it’s so important to make people feel seen. Be gracious for every DM and comment you receive. Answer all questions, no matter how mundane, with excitement and a polite demeanor. Give them someone to cheer on in your posts, tell them about your personal life, struggles in the industry, in general let them get to know you.
It’s hard putting yourself out there, especially on a platform where anyone can say anything. But if you show the audience your heart, the support you will get in return will shock you.
