What is Google Analytics 4?
Google Analytics 4 (or GA4 for short) is the newest format of the well-known and loved Google Analytics. This new update is going to transform the life of users and make it even easier to understand all metrics, not just traffic.
GA4 monitors all aspects of the customer journey across multiple platforms and makes use of new AI technology to provide you with more detailed insights into how your users interact with all aspects of your websites and accounts.
GA4 is also upping the game when it comes to customer privacy, which may sound confusing since it is providing you with way more information.
With the updates that have come with the latest privacy laws (such as GDPR and CCPA), GA4 has become even smarter to allow for increased privacy, while collecting more metrics. This is mainly possible due to all of the updates that have occurred with AI technology these past months.

Making it easy for you to find whatever you’re looking for in an efficient way.
All measurements are listed as events in GA4
When you use Universal Analytics, page views were always listed as the most important metric, however now with GA4, all measurements are events, Meaning that instead of seeing generalized information, you will be given access to a lot more detail, allowing for you to have a much deeper understanding of your audience, and how to serve them.
GA4 has new metrics for you to investigate
There are a lot of new metrics you will be able to explore and make use of. Some of which include:
